Walk-in check-in
Audience: Front desk
Objective: Check in a guest who arrives without a booking.
Requires: Front desk access (admin, manager, or cashier)
Before you start
- If the workspace has more than one property, the active property is the one you mean to use.
- At least one room is vacant clean. Only those rooms appear in the walk-in list.
- You have the guest name and phone. Collect identity details your property requires. For a foreign guest, capture passport and nationality for C-Form when you use that flow.
Steps
- Open Front Desk (
/front-desk). - Choose Walk-in. On a phone, use the centre check-in button and choose Walk-in check-in.
- In Walk-in check-in:
- Enter Guest name and Phone.
- Select room. The list is vacant clean rooms only.
- Set departure date.
- Optional: enter Advance and choose Cash, UPI, or Card.
- Choose Check in.
Check in stays disabled until the guest name and a room are set.
Result
Opseno checks the guest in and shows Walk-in guest checked in. The guest appears under Today → In-house. A folio opens with room charges. Housekeeping sees the stay on the floor board.
Open the folio from In-house to post extras or take further payment. See Manage a folio.
If something blocks you
- The room list is empty: no vacant clean room is free. Wait for housekeeping to complete the task, or assign another room that is already clean.
- You meant a booked arrival, not a walk-in: use Today → Arrivals → Check in, or create the stay with New booking first.
