15-minute hotel demo path

Audience: Front desk / F&B staff shipping a client demo
Objective: Complete one guest stay story end-to-end on a seeded or live property.
Time: ~15 minutes

Before you start

• You can sign in (workspace from /onboarding or an invite)
• Hotel / Hybrid workspace with at least one clean vacant room and an open F&B floor (sample data helps)
• Role: cashier, manager, or admin

Language note: Guest bills, GST invoices, and thermal receipts stay English only. Hindi is for housekeeping staff UI (/hk), not guest paperwork.

Path

1. Login

1. Open /login and sign in with your workspace account.
2. After auth you land on Your workplace (/apps) — the department launcher.

2. Apps launcher

1. On /apps, open Front Desk (hotel apps).
2. Keep this tab ready; you will return for checkout and night audit.

3. Walk-in check-in

1. On Front Desk, choose Walk-in.
2. Pick a vacant clean room, enter guest details, optional deposit (cash / UPI / card).
3. Confirm check-in — an open folio is created with room charges.

4. Folio

1. Open the guest folio from the room tile or in-house list.
2. Confirm room line(s) and any deposit.
3. Leave the folio open — F&B will post onto it next.

5. F&B charge-to-room

1. From /apps, open F&B Floor (or Table View).
2. Open a table, add menu items, fire KOT if kitchen is in the demo.
3. Settle with Charge to room → pick the in-house guest / folio from step 4.
4. Confirm the F&B amount appears on the folio.

6. Checkout

1. Return to Front Desk → open the same folio (or today’s Departures).
2. Check out → take payment → generate the GST invoice.
3. Share or print as needed (English paperwork only).

Housekeeping gets a dirty-room task after checkout. Optional: show /hk with Hindi staff UI.

7. Night audit (pointer)

1. From /apps, open Night Audit (admin/manager).
2. Walk the checklist / Hotel GL story for the demo.
3. On a sandbox only: run the close if you intend to roll the business date.
