Go-live checklist
Audience: Owner or manager
Objective: Confirm what has to be true before the first guest checks in.
Severity: High
Purpose
Move from setup to a live desk with one scripted day, not a hope that the first guest will find the gaps.
Before this list
- The first week path has been walked at least once in this workspace, or in a quiet window on production.
- You know who may void a charge, approve payroll, and approve TorQ writes.
- Backups and print setup are understood. See Backup & DR and Printing setup when you are signed in.
Do not put Razorpay, email, WhatsApp, or other secrets in chat or in this checklist. Store those outside the product docs and supply them in Settings yourself.
Checklist
Property and access
- Hotel / PMS module is on (
/settings/profile#module-pms). - Property name, address, and GSTIN (if registered) are saved (
/settings/property). - At least one room type, one room, and one rate plan exist.
- Check-in time, check-out time, and night-audit policy are set (
/settings/property/policies). - HTTPS login works. Each role you will use tomorrow has signed in once (admin or manager, cashier, housekeeping).
One scripted day
Walk this in order. Stop if a step fails and fix it before the first guest.
- Walk-in check-in on a vacant clean room.
- Folio shows the room charge. Add one extra. If you use the shop, Charge to Room from POS lands on that folio.
- Complete checkout. The invoice opens. The bill is English.
- Housekeeping completes the room on the Front Desk Housekeeping tab or on
/hk. The room can be sold again. - Night audit: checklist reviewed, then Roll business date. Dashboard occupancy matches the sample stay you just closed or left in-house.
Print, partners, and TorQ
- Print one bill on the printer you will actually use. Thermal guest bills stay English.
- If a partner calls availability, they use a live API key and the correct property. Create keys in Settings. Do not share keys in a guide.
- Staff know TorQ can answer from live data and that every write needs Approve. See Use TorQ.
- Staff know offline sales queue until the network returns. Do not roll night audit while offline.
After the first night
- Audit log shows the sensitive actions you expect (
/settings/audit). - Owner and manager know who is on call for the first week.
Known blockers you must supply
These are not missing screens. They need your credentials or hardware:
- Razorpay live keys
- Email (Resend) and Meta WhatsApp, if you send those messages
- OTA credentials, if you connect a channel
- A thermal printer and its agent, if you print at the desk
- Error tracking (Sentry), if you want production alerts
