Use TorQ
Audience: Manager or cashier with TorQ enabled
Objective: Ask from live data. Approve every write.
Requires: The AI module on (/settings/profile#module-ai) and permission to use TorQ
What TorQ will and will not do
TorQ answers from live workspace data. Numbers should come with citations from tools, not a guess.
A question does not change the property. If TorQ proposes a write (a folio note, a housekeeping update, or a similar action), that write sits in Pending write actions until a person chooses Approve or Reject. Do not treat a chat reply as already applied.
If an optional language-model key is missing, or a monthly token cap is hit, TorQ can still answer from its tools. Do not paste production API keys into a guide or a chat to “fix” that.
Where to ask
| Place | Use |
|---|---|
Launchpad (/apps) | Compact TorQ Concierge bar under the apps. Tap it on a phone to expand. |
/torq or /ai | Full Concierge. Ask here, and approve writes here. |
| Command palette (⌘K or Ctrl+K) | Jump to Copilot from inside the app. |
Ask
- Open TorQ from the launchpad bar, or open
/torq. - Ask an operational question. Example: occupancy today, who is in-house, or which rooms are still dirty.
- Read the answer and the citations. If a figure has no citation, do not use it for a guest-facing decision until you check Front Desk or Dashboard.
Approve a write
- Open
/torq. - Find Pending write actions (Act). A count badge appears when something is waiting. The app nav may also show a pending badge.
- Read the action type. Choose Approve to apply it, or Reject to drop it.
- Check the result where the work lives (folio, housekeeping board, or the record TorQ named).
You cannot approve your own proposal when the workspace requires a second person. Ask a manager with approve permission.
Result
You get a tool-backed answer. The property changes only after Approve.
