Backup and disaster recovery

Objective: Know how to protect and restore Opseno data.
Severity: High
Rollback: Follow restore steps in the engineering runbook

Purpose

Summarize operator expectations; detailed commands live in the engineering runbook.

Preconditions

  • Access to your Postgres provider (Neon production or self-hosted)
  • Credentials stored securely (never in git)

Procedure

  1. Confirm automated backups are enabled on the database provider.
  2. Document restore owner and RPO/RTO targets for your business.
  3. Periodically test restore into a non-production branch/instance.
  4. After restore, verify login, one property’s front desk, and a sample report.
